Eastern Plumas Health Care is a small, non-profit, critical access hospital district, providing comprehensive medical services to Plumas County since 1971. We operate a 9 bed acute care hospital at our main Portola campus, which includes a 24 hour, physician staffed, emergency room and ambulance service. In addition, three primary care medical clinics and a dental clinic offer residents a full spectrum of health care services in the Graeagle, Loyalton, and Portola communities. We have 2 Skilled Nursing Facilities in Portola and Loyalton offering excellent residential care to the mature members of our community!

We are looking for a dedicated, caring Full Time LVN for our night shift opening which includes a competitive salary, and a night-shift differential for our skilled nursing in Loyalton, CA. You will love our staff and residents at our Loyalton, facility, and we are offering a generous sign-on bonus!

All healthcare workers in CA must be vaccinated and have a booster for COVID-19. We offer this free of charge as part of the new hire process.

Job duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervise direct patient care performed by CNAs.
  • Administering prescribed medications.
  • Assist in assessing patients' needs.
  • Responsible for accurate documentation in the residents' electronic medical record.
  • Performs direct patient care.
  • Complies with local and federal guidelines for the administration of all medications and maintenance of medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPPA and other applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and the maintenance of medical records.
  • Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.
  • Understands and applies job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities.
  • Proactively maintains the skills required to perform job duties. Complies with local and federal guidelines for the administration of all medications and maintenance of medical records.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPPA and other applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and the maintenance of medical records.

Requirements:

  • Must be currently licensed as an LVN in the state of California.
  • Must be CPR certified.
  • Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must obtain IV certification within one year of employment.
  • Completes annual education requirements.
  • Maintains regulatory requirements.
  • Must meet the physical demands of position, including vision, hearing, repetitive motion and environment as set standards require.
